OAU Integrated Farms Limited (OAU I-Farms) was incorporated as a special purpose vehicle to set up an industrial agricultural park on the existing lands of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. The project is designed to develop about 7,000 hectares agricultural land, belonging to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. The company has been set up, separate from the university administration, to ensure independence, sustainability, and continuity.
The agricultural initiative is anchored on the integration of activities of the identified value chain components into a single unit around the project area. It will be used for the production of crops (cassava, soya, maize, alfa-alfa, onions, etc), vegetables (tomatoes, sweet pepper, and cucumbers), Livestock (poultry, piggery, and cattle, dairy) and aquaculture (catfish and tilapia).
